How reliable is your product?

Bolls ApS offers to examine the reliability of electronic products.

There are several methods to demonstrate the reliability of a product. An old-fashioned method is MEAN Time Between Failures (MTBF) calculations. This is now considered obsolete, but some firms still want these calculations, as they are often used as a competitive parameter.

A now more widespread method is to test the product beyond its immediate specifications. Here, together with the customer, we will prepare a test plan for which parameters to change and in what context. It is typically temperature, moisture, vibration and voltage that you change at the same time, to bring the product out into the "corners" of what it can handle.

You can also go one step further and do a Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) test, where you test until the product permanently fails or is destroyed.
