Compliance and quality assurance

Your partner in electrical safety testing and documentation!

We offer a comprehensive range of specialized tests that ensure compliance with electrical safety standards as specified in the Low Voltage Directive, the Medical Devices Directive, the Machinery Directive, and the R&TTE Directive. Our tests are performed and documented in accordance with the CB test report model and are internationally recognized for their reliability and accuracy, at prices that are only one-third of a traditional CB report.

Our experienced team performs the tests both in our state-of-the-art laboratory and on demand at our customers' premises. We offer a wide range of tests including leakage current measurement, high voltage testing, insulation measurement, temperature testing, earth resistance measurement, flammability testing and material testing.

But our service doesn't stop at the physical product - we also review manuals, labeling and all relevant safety aspects to ensure full compliance with standards. If we find faults, we provide detailed descriptions and recommendations for corrections.

If you need an accredited test—for example, under the CB Scheme, TÜV, SGS, UL, etc.—we have strong relationships with major testing laboratories and can assist you throughout the entire process.

With our expertise and specialization in conducting simple checks on imported products, we help ensure that your products do not end up on the Danish Safety Technology Authority’s list of illegal products.

Flammability test

Bolls ApS offers flammability testing according to both UL94 and Glow Wire test methods.

The picture shows a GW850 test gone wrong. Unfortunately, you can't tell from the plastic whether it's flammable or not, only testing can prove it.

General electrical safety test

We work with electrical safety according to many different standards.

It requires little special test equipment, but requires a greater knowledge of what tests to perform and under what conditions.

We at Bolls have built this up over many years.

Ensuring electrical safety

By following these steps and working with Bolls, you can ensure that your electrical products and systems meet the necessary safety standards and directives.

Identify the need for electrical safety testing

  • Evaluate your electrical products and systems to determine if they require safety testing to meet the requirements of various directives and standards.
  • Remember that products that do not fall under the Low Voltage Directive often come under the Product Safety Directive and need a simple electrical safety assessment.
  • Assess the scope of the tests, including whether tests for leakage current, insulation measurements, temperature, earth resistance and flammability, among others, are necessary.
